Ceramica Rondine in the front line for businesses and start-ups

On Tuesday 26 May, the Biagi auditorium in Modena hosted the convention organised by Qn-il Resto del Carlino together with Banca Popolare dell'Emilia Romagna.

The round-table discussion brought together the main players in the economic system: banks and businesses.
The entrepreneurs present, united by their resolve to facilitate economic recovery and employment in Italy as far as possible, agreed that banks have a central role to play in supporting the growth and development of businesses.

Numerous speakers placed the accent on the importance of working together to build solutions able to boost the Italian business culture. Particularly significant were the words of Lauro Giacobazzi, president of Ceramica Rondine and a member of the board of Confindustria Ceramica. Giacobazzi offered a reflection on the role of Italian-made products and the need to protect them:

“Despite the crisis, we have always had the courage to invest, and we’re now seeing the results of that. However, we are not always offered the necessary safeguards by the political system and from Europe: the fact that a number of the countries in the North do not recognise the importance battle to safeguard the origin of products is proof of this”.
