Inspired by natural stone, the series pays tribute to Matera, a UNESCO World Heritage site, a city carved into the rock of the Murge plateau. Research has given rise to a calcarenite featuring the warm tones of tuff, characterized by large stone inclusions that create a harmonious surface of circular shapes. To further enhance its distinctive character, the graphics of Pietra di Matera blend with the veining of Negresco marble, a black marble crossed by tone-on-tone brown rings and fine white veins. The result is a deliberately hybrid product that combines the identity of Pietra di Matera with the elegance of marble, creating a unique metamorphosis between stone and marble.
